The festival of lights had them B-town ladies bring a twist of modern to the traditional. Bright colours, lots of bling with the occasional bindi and some gorgeous accessories, Diwali had the leading ladies of Bollywood dressed in their best. Here is looking at the top 5 looks that lit up our lives (and Instagram pages) this past week.
Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali party had the creme de la crem on the guest list. Among them was the fitness entrepreneur, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. She wore a dull blue Tarun Tahiliani saree with a corset sweetheart neck blouse. The outfit is quite the stunner.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Royalty is her middle name and she sure knows how to carry it well. Kareena Kapoor Khan donned a Sabyasachi lehenga. Bathed in royal blue, embellished with golden work, her highness looked nothing less than magnificent.
Deepika Padukone
Black and gold is a classic combination. One can never ever go wrong with that especially if the artist is Sabyasachi himself and his muse is the beautiful Deepika Padukone. The actress simply outdid herself (yet again) in the lethal Banarasi number at the Bachchan's Diwali bash. The jhumkas and smokey eyes just added to her already ethereal look. Major girl crush moment!
Sonam Kapoor
The lady of the hour, Sonam Kapoor, did a Tarun Tahiliani number, a gold lace saree with a gorgeous sheer blouse situation. The make up was simple, with hints of nude and gold. Sonam allowed her outfit to do all the talking and kept it minimal on the accessories front.
Genelia Deshmukh
The ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” girl looked so cute in her Rimple and Harpreet Narula lehenga. By far, she was the most traditional of them all. The Chandbali earrings were a great addition to the outfit.
